The Parable Behind the Design

A man working a field strikes something buried. He uncovers it, sees what it is worth, and covers it over again — then goes and sells everything he owns to buy that field.

Jesus spends no time describing the treasure. The whole weight of the parable rests on what the man does about it. He does not weigh the cost, negotiate, or hold anything back. He recognises worth, and he acts.

That is the point Matthew 13:44 presses: the Kingdom is not one good thing among many. It is the thing you would trade everything else to hold.

He sold all he had.

The One That Gets Worn Out

The double-lined hood is the detail worth paying attention to: it holds its shape instead of collapsing flat after a few washes, which is what separates a hoodie you keep from one you replace.
