Seeds & Soil

A farmer goes out to scatter seed. Some lands on the path, some on rock, some among thorns, and some on good ground — and only the last of it comes to anything. Elsewhere Jesus points at a mustard seed, the smallest thing in the garden, and says the kingdom is like that: negligible in the hand, and eventually large enough for birds to nest in.

Both stories put the outcome outside the farmer's control. You prepare ground and you scatter, and then growth happens by a process nobody in the field can see or hurry. This collection is for the long-obedience stretch of faith — the part with no visible harvest yet, where the work is simply to keep sowing and leave the increase to God.

The designs stay close to the ground the parables came from: furrows, scattered grain, a seed small enough to lose in your palm. Quiet pieces for a season that mostly looks like waiting.
