Lost & Found

Luke 15 is one long answer to a complaint. The religious leaders muttered that Jesus ate with the wrong people, and instead of defending himself he told three stories in a row — a shepherd who leaves ninety-nine sheep to go after one, a woman who lights a lamp and sweeps the whole house for a single coin, and a father who runs down the road to meet a son who had already spent everything.

Each one ends the same way: someone throws a party. That is the thread running through this collection. Not the wandering, which we all understand well enough, but the search that goes out after it and the welcome waiting at the end of it. These designs are for anyone who has been the one out in the field, and for anyone still looking for someone who is.
